Travel - Honeymoon in Thailand

Day 6 - Friday

Phuket Town

In the morning we went to Phuket Town, which is a city. The hotel arranged transportation to the town. On the way our driver stopped at a shop, which had everything Thai from silk to jems to pearls. When we reached the drop off and pick-up point, a local tour guide started telling us where to go. We were dazed and confused, so he offered for 100 Baht to bring us around. Before I could say, "NO!" Andrea already accepted the offer and was moving towards his car. The tour guide wife became our tour guide, she took us to another shop which had everything Thai. After which we went back, to the drop off point. We went to a local Thai mall which was interesting, and bought some Swenson's ice-cream. It was time to go so I stopped by the local restaurant and got some chicken and rice to go. A whole meal cost 30 Baht. When we got back to the hotel it was clear Andrea doesn't like chicken and rice.

Pool

With nothing planned in the afternoon we spent it by the hotel pool.

Spa

in the evening we went back to the Spa, as part of our room, we were given 90 minute complementary massages. We used this last evening to relax and get a swedish massage. For the massage the Thai girls used peach oil.

Villa Barbeque

Instead of eating in one of the resorts restaurants, we used our last night in Phuket to have a private barbeque in the front yard of our villa. Goal, our chef, prepared us a meal of tiger prawns, snapper, chicken, veal and steak. It was very good. What is different about a barque in Thailand is the sauces, it's not traditional barbeque sauce, but different types of curry, pepper and ginger.

Fruit of the Day

Today's fruit of the day is Guava. Guava is like a giant bitter apple, its suppose to be eaten with sugar. I tried it both ways, I won't be buying Guava anytime soon.
